The goals of our lab are to further our understanding of the developmental biology, genetics, and pathology of oomycetes, a group of fungus-like eukaryotic microbes found throughout the world. Most of our studies involve the important plant pathogen Phytophthora infestans, which causes the late blight diseases of potato and tomato.
